en wat verhaaltjes...
Beatles, altijd lastig welke, in welke volgorde en hoeveel. Dit keer dus 3 al hadden het er ook 5 kunnen zijn, Help en No Reply stonden nog op m'n shortlist (nou ja short...)
Fontella Bass had ik best wat meer van verwacht in dit gezelschap eigenlijk. Jammer.
The Animals, prima band, ooit een keer een verzamelaar gekocht nadat ik per ongeluk wat anders had gehoord dan alleen die rising sun. It's My Life is wel m'n favoriet van ze.
Nuggets, ja natuurlijk... een zeer dankbare bron voor de lijstjes van dit en komende jaren. Dit keer m'n nummers 13 en 15 er vandaan gehaald.
De Everlys deden het ook gewoon nog met een van hun beste nummers
En natuurlijk de wekelijkse Tracey Ullman orginelen, dat ga ik niet lang meer volhouden trouwens maar dit keer 2 stuks, nummers 7 en 19. Wat betreft Sandie is het denk ik door die cover dat ik meer Sandie ben gaan zoeken en ontdekte dat die erg goede muziek maakte vóór het songfestival.

Toch nog een verrassend einde van 1965 want niemand had California Dreamin’ op nr 1 voorspeld. Er was zelfs een nitwit die hem helemaal niet in de top 10 had staan. Uiteindelijk zijn er 4 voorspellers met 18 punten (van de maximaal 25 te behalen punten) en omdat wibro 2 nummers exact op de juiste plek heeft voorspeld, mag hij zich het jaar 1965 toe-eigenen. Gefeliciteerd.
