Ik heb Visage hier nog nooit eerder gezien. Stond wel op mijn nominatielijst maar ik vond het nummer niet spannend genoeg, dus ik dacht: laat Rodajc 'm maar plaatsen.

Die Ultravox link wist ik niet, maar is o zo logisch..

Tijd voor wat avontuurlijkers, om wibro te citeren. Met andere woorden, iets onbekenders.
Alhoewel. Sad Lovers & Giants heeft in Nederland altijd een trouwe fanbase gehad. De uit Watford afkomstige groep rondom zanger, componist Simon ' Garçe ' Allard, maakt klassieke post-punk, die sterk verwant is aan The Cure en The Sound. Garçe is de enige constante factor gedurende vele break ups, wisselingen van bandleden en come backs. In 2018 brachten ze nog een nieuw album uit.
Ze kwamen hier al een keer voorbij met Your Skin and Mine. Dat nummer eindigde in de achterhoede.
Ik weet zeker dat deze keuze het beter zal gaan doen.

SLaG is vooral ook een beetje een Chameleons light. Minder dramatiek in de zang en gitaren en vooral ook romantischer. Fijne band!

The Psychedelic Furs werden in 1977 opgericht door de gebroeders Butler, waarbij zanger Richard Butler als drijvende kracht moet worden beschouwd. Met hun debuut LP braken ze in 1980 meteen door in de UK. Met hun tweede album deden ze het ook goed in de US. Begin jaren tachtig waren ze net zo groot als U2 en Simple Minds. Maar na 1986 zakten ze weg om zelfs kort te worden ontbonden in de jaren 90. Recentelijk (na dertig jaar) weer een nieuw album uitgebracht. Hun muziek wordt veel gebruikt in films en TV-series (oa. Stranger Things) Hier een bekend voorbeeld.
