Zoals altijd de spelregels op een rijtje:
* Maak een genummerde top 10-15-20-25-30 van platen uit de jaren '70 (en plaats deze in dit topic).

* De puntentelling is 7-6-5-4-3 (afhankelijk van de grootte krijgt je top 2/3/4/5/6 dus 7 punten). Het is simpel: de bovenste 20% krijgt 7 punten, de 20% daarna 6 punten, [...] de onderste 20% krijgt 3 punten.

* De albums moeten óf hier op MusicMeter aangegeven staan als 1970-1979 (ongeacht het type album of het materiaal dat erop staat) óf uitsluitend(!) opnames bevatten die uit de jaren '70 stammen (naar eigen inzicht!).

* Ieder type album is toegestaan, dus ook EP’s en verzamelaars.

* Noteren gaat als volgt:
1. <.ARTIEST> - <.ALBUM> (jaartal is optioneel, maar wel gewenst)

Ik dacht speciaal voor Casartelli alle platen uit mijn lijst die ook maar een beetje naar progrock ruiken er uit te laten (kwestie van een beetje variatie in de eindlijst te krijgen), maar de enige overlapping bleek "Who's Next" te zijn. Voorafgaand door Bob Dylan en George Harrison. Ik waan me bijna een echte classic rocker.

Edit: Op algemene vraag heb ik tevens geprobeerd er zoveel mogelijk vrouwelijke artiesten, zoveel mogelijk blues, en zoveel mogelijk Elvis (P.) in te plaatsen. Kwestie van niemand voor het hoofd te stoten.

Deze keer een speciale lijst om meer variëteit te krijgen en omdat er toch weinig kans is dat ook maar eentje van mijn lijst de uiteindelijke Top 25 haalt. Ook om DISCO meer onder de aandacht te brengen en goede maar minder bekende albums een beetje steun te geven. Dus al mijn favorieten waar al meer dan 200 stemmen op zitten (Lou Reed, Kate Bush, Pink Floyd, Kiss, The Who etc) bewust niet in deze lijst gezet, dat doen andere toch wel. Sommige van mijn keuzes hebben maar 1 of 2 stemmen tot nu toe en een enkeling is na 25-30 jaar nog steeds niet verkrijgbaar digitaal noch op CD (bv. Streetband). Wonderlijk dat geen enkel album uit 1976 mijn lijstje haalde, terwijl 1978 en 1979 ruim 50% van de lijst vullen. Bovendien blijkt er een album nog niet op MuMe te staan terwijl ik meende dat die al jaren terug was ingevoerd: Adam Faith - I Survive (1974), kan hem niet vinden.
