Breakfast in America heeft zich voorafgaand aan deze editie bij deze kritische luisteraar nog wel in herbeluistering kunnen verheugen, maar vergeleken bij eerdere albums is dit toch wel erg lichtgewicht - niet in mijn lijst derhalve. Voor The Wall ben ik die herevaluatie überhaupt maar niet aangegaan.

Verder houdt het qua matches sowieso niet over, al zitten er mooie stationaire noteringen in voor de in mijn oren iconische 1979-albums van The Police en Wire.

Hun vorige plaat gaf ze al een zetje, op Fear of Music worden de 'disguised' disco-ritmes nog wat meer uitgebouwd en gemixt met soundscapes en conventionele rockelementen. Zonder Eno gedemood, met hem op plaat gezet.

De uitersten uit mijn lijst hebben we daarmee gehad. Sowieso een erg behoorlijke score qua overeenkomsten.
We zijn wel erg stabiel qua smaak als ik de top 6 tot nu toe zie.
