We blijven bij de metal, maar deze keer uit Egypte.

Lang leve de diversiteit en een klein groepje inzenders: dan borrelt dit soort leuke, moddervette metalplaatjes zowaar op in de eindlijst. Liefhebbers van Melechesh en Nile (Wie? Wat? Waar?): check Crescent! Voor mij een van de verrassingen uit deze regio (staat inmiddels zelfs in de reservering om op vinyl te kopen). Samen ook met de jaren 60 en 70-platen van Hamza El Din, alleen koos ik uiteindelijk, na ampel beraad met mezelf, voor een ander album dan 'Al Oud' (een album per artiest).

Egyptische metal voor de liefhebbers van Nile. Het moet toch niet veel gekker worden hier.

Het klinkt inderdaad een beetje als de piramide op zijn kop.

Dance? Is dit dance? De groeten zeg, dan ben ik de grootste danceliefhebber van heel MuMe en laat ik al die metalherrie onmiddellijk links liggen. Had iemand mij dit dan ook even kunnen vertellen, dan had ik het niet genegeerd (want ik kwam haar naam wel tegen tijdens het grasduinen).
Enfin, wat een ge-wel-di-ge plaat! Zou meteen in mijn Top 3 zijn gekatapulteerd. Waarschijnlijk zelfs op de eerste plek. Love at first sound. ❤️
Ik moet bij sommige nummers wat denken aan Azam Ali, een zangeres die aan de beurt is als we in Iran zijn beland. Dank stemmers voor deze fantastische tip. Ik heb meteen de dubbel lp besteld, puur goud!
