Het is ook een beetje cheaten, want dit was eerste Gang Starr album wat ik kocht en dus meest heb geluisterd en zo hoefde ik niet te kiezen tussen de ekte albums!

Als er mensen zijn die toch graag meedoen, maar de deadline van vanavond net niet redden (ivm vakantie oid), stuur even een PB of laat een bericht achter, dan kijk ik wat mogelijk is. Anders ga ik zo langzamerhand beginnen met de balans opmaken. Zelf ondertussen ook razend benieuwd wat de eindstand gaat worden..

Gaat lukken vandaag, zit hier als een idioot tussen alle releases volgorde te bepalen.

Dit was een hels karwei, maar wel leuk. Puur op gevoel de volgorde bepaald, de eerder ingeleverde jaarlijstjes genegeerd. Zo spelen vooral mee mijn eigen herinneringen en gevoel bij een album, simpelweg hoe graag ik het draai. Zo heb ik behoorlijk wat platen uit de jaren 1999 - 2005, toen ik definitief verslaafd raakte aan hiphop. Objectief gezien, voor zover dat kan, zeker niet allemaal de beste albums ooit volgens de klassieke lijstjes, maar wel persoonlijke favorieten waar ik nog vaak naar terug grijp. Ongetwijfeld heeft op sommige momenten ook de status van een album invloed gehad op de volgorde, maar ik heb geprobeerd dat zoveel mogelijk te negeren. De nummer 1 heeft voor mij alles en is zonder twijfel mijn favoriet, het ultieme (hiphop)album. De nummers 2 en 3 zijn de eerste twee albums die ik ooit kocht als ik het me goed herinner toen ik 13 was, dus daar zit een heel grote dosis jeugdsentiment bij. De nummers 1 t/m 34 vind ik allemaal voltreffers die ik met een 10 zou beoordelen. 35 t/m 50 een 9.5. Dat is afgerond ook een 10, maar net niet perfect. De meest recente is van 2015 (To Pimp A Butterfly). Het lijkt erop dat de jaren dat nieuwe albums echt heel veel indruk maakten voorbij zijn op m'n 36e, maar hopelijk blijkt dat de komende jaren toch niet het geval.
