Chat Pile pakt met hun sludge noise stoner rock/metal(zoiets) binnen een paar weken na release bijna de koppositie. Nieuw binnen op 2 en laat de rest allemaal precies 1 plaatsje zakken. Dit is dan tevens het einde van de industrial metal uit Duitsland die nu dus uit de lijst valt. Sabaton heeft inmiddels de 20 stemmen gehaald maar komt met 3.32 nog niet eens in de buurt van de top 10.

Dat waren nog eens tijden...oh wacht..is in de aankomende lente.

Het moet het grootste metal indoor spektakel van de wereld worden
Line-up | The Rock Circus - 3, 4 &; 5 November 2023 - therockcircus.nl
slechts 100 euro voor 3 (!) dagen. Ik vind het nogal een claim voor "slechts" 40 bands, maar goed, de meeste festivals zijn dan ook buiten natuurlijk (of op een boot haha). Met Up the irons, Epica en Cradle of Filth en een beperkte reistijd naar de Brabanthallen in Den-Bosch zal ik wel overstag gaan. Ik ben wel benieuwd of Neerlands fine fleur ook acte the presence gaat geven.

Tot nu toe geen enkele band waarvoor ik zou gaan. Leuk initiatief maar ze zullen toch echt met heel wat betere bands moeten komen wil ik het overwegen. De prijs is heel redelijk in vergelijking met andere festivals.

Zelfde voor mij. Er moeten nog wel aardig wat namen worden toegevoegd die in mijn straatje passen, mocht ik hier heen willen gaan. Electric Callboy kots ik echt uit, de rest vind ik ook niet zo boeiend.

Je zou met een prijs van 100 euro voor twee dagen denken (de vrijdag is zo te zien meer een pre-party achtig iets) dat er een beperkt aantal grote bands komt en voor de rest meer middenmoters en opkomende bands qua populariteit. Het zou me niet verbazen dat er nog een aantal bands bijkomen die populair zijn in het ''reaction video''-circuit zoals een Jinjer of een Lorna Shore. Ik verwacht in ieder geval niet dat The Rock Circus de uitdaging opzoekt qua hardrock/metal en daar zijn ook al festivals in Nederland voor zoals Roadburn en Soulcrusher.

Ik sta dit jaar echt wel weer open om naar Soulcrusher af te reizen. Afgelopen editie heb ik echt een waanzinnig vette weekend gehad. O.a. Spectral Wound en Ultha gezien, en Amenra was mijn waardige weekendafsluiter.

Net als in 2022 trapt een vaderlandsche band de maandlijst voor dit jaar af.
