Zo zag mijn lijst eruit. Buiten Moonspell en enkele Fados was ik niet echt bekend met Portugese muziek. Er is dus zeker nog ruimte om ontdekkingen te doen. Voorlopig was het toch nog een beetje schrapen om tot aan een top 20 te komen. Bedankt aan iedereen voor de luistertips

Dan deed ik het met zes matches toch ook niet onaardig en deel dan de zilveren plak met (o.a.?) Superbitch.
Dan vermoed ik dat je deze niet in het zwarte gat bent tegengekomen, want die zou niet hebben misstaan in jouw zwartgeblakerde lijst. En in de lijst van Johnny Marr vast ook.

Ook voor mij was het buiten een select metal- en fadogezelschap grotendeels een nieuwe zoektocht. Een aantal zeer fraaie ontdekkingen gedaan (bedankt voor de toffe tip van Desire, JM!), maar ik ben, afgezien van mijn nummer 1, geen 5 sterrenalbums tegengekomen.
Opvallend dat Mão Morta afwezig is in MusicMeter: als hun discografie zou zijn opgenomen, dan weet ik zeker dat hun latere postpunk/alt.rockalbums op meer stemmen hadden kunnen rekenen. Datzelfde geldt eigenlijk ook wel voor synthpop/darkwave van IAMTHESHADOW en de instrumentale, mediterraanse blues/jazzrockklanken van Dead Combo: die had ik allebei zeker in de Top 20 verwacht.

Nuno Canavarro stond ook nog op mijn lijst te beluisteren albums, maar daar had ik geen tijd meer voor. Die vage klanken zouden achteraf mijn lijst toch niet hebben gehaald. José Mário Branco daarentegen wel: over het hoofd gezien, maar die plaat bevalt me uitstekend. Dank! Ook weer aan de organisator. Dit vind ik toch het leukste spelletje van het hele forum: een grote ontdekkingsreis.

Fado is zo'n genre dat slechts bij een beperkt publiek bekend is, maar wel de moeite om te ontdekken. Amalia Rodrigues is natuurlijk de grondlegger, maar ook recentere artiesten als Cristina Branco halen een hoog niveau.

Mali is voor mij het sterkste Afrikaanse land, dus zal dat ruim vertegenwoordigd zijn. Ook uit die andere Noord-Afrikaanse landen ken ik een paar goede dingen.

Heel, héééééél verrassend dat Bruno Pernadas de top 10 niet heeft gehaald. Prachtige plaat, voor mij de grootste ontdekking. Leek me wel een GrafGantzplaatje. Hoge score op RYM ook, maar blijkbaar zegt dat niks meer hier... TornadoEF5 zeg er es effe wat van...

Ook snap ik niet zo goed wat Mali en Marokko bij elkaar doen? Had dan Tunesië ipv Mali genomen? Mijn twee centjes hoor, was gewoon benieuwd.

Had die dan naast Desire ook even getipt, koekenbakker! Jee, wat een lekker vrijdagochtendplaatje zeg! Bijna niet te geloven dat dit een album uit 2016 is en niet uit de early/mid 70s.
