Dag 182 van het jaar en tot nu toe 225 album uit 2018 beluisterd: 1 score, 5 live, 10 verzamelaars, 47 EP's en 162 reguliere albums. Wederom een drukke maand door de pre-zomer release lawine. Gelukkig zaten er diverse kortere albums tussen.

Opnieuw niet heel veel verandert in mijn Top 10/25 ondanks de release-lawine, dus nu een eerste Top 50 van het eerste half jaar. Vorige maand kwam U.S. Girls nieuw in mijn de Top 10 en deze maand doet de Française Halo Maud hun na. Hierdoor redt Beach House het maar net om in mijn voorlopige Album Top 10 te komen waar nu nog 5-7 andere kandidaten buiten staan.

Wat verder nog veel indruk maakte zijn de nieuwe albums van Lera Lynn, Laure Briarde, Melody's Echo Chamber en Courtney Barnett. De nieuwe van Nine Inche Nails blijft wat achter in de lawine waaruit ook nieuw materiaal van Low en Paul McCartney verscheen, alsmede singles van Meadowlake en BODEGA.

Dag 213 van het jaar en tot nu toe 247 album uit 2018 beluisterd: 1 score, 8 live, 10 verzamelaars, 52 EP's en 176 reguliere albums. Eindelijk weer eens een rustige periode, tot aan half augustus wanneer de post-zomer release-lawine weer begint.

Bodega knalde vanuit het niets naar de nr. 2 plek van mijn album Top 10, net als de nrs. 1 en 3 veel korte nummers (Indie) Rock en wat (donkere) humor in de teksten. Verder drukte Lord Huron (tijdelijk?) de nieuwe van Beach House uit mijn Top 10. Het debuut van Elohim blijkt een groeier met meer diepgang dan de poppy klanken doen vermoeden, plus de heerlijke duets op Lera Lynn's nieuwe stormen mijn Top 25 binnen.

Wat verder nog veel indruk maakt waren de nieuwe albums van Mikaela Davis, Nana Adjoa, Laure Briarde, Melody's Echo Chamber en Courtney Barnett. Plus nieuwe singles die bevallen van Metric, meadowlake, Interpol, Indian Askin, Panteón Rococó, Black Honey en Juanita Stein.
